One of things that I admire most about Australians is their pride of country and steadfast believe and support of Australian made products. Given that, I wasn’t surprised to realize that animal crackers in the land down under are a bit different than those up north.

Australia is the home to a unique group of critters; it only seems fair that they’d make cookies in their honor.



The box even has fun facts for each critter. Did you know:


A wombat’s pouch (they’re marsupials) faces backwards. (They’re burrowing animals and a rear facing pouch prevents dirt from getting in the pouch and on the babies)

Kangaroo’s can hop up to 50 kph (31 mph)

Koalas sleep at least 19 hours a day

The platypus is only one of two mammals that lay eggs

Cockatoos can live for as long as 50 years.
