Catch up

It seems that I never quite got around to posting pictures from our Easter dinner. The reason I know this, is that I went to down load some photos this evening and I discovered the Easter pictures still on the camera. SO – although it’s completely out of season – and I’m feeling guilty for not blogging regularly enough, here’s how we celebrated Easter.

We were invited to the home of our friends Bob and Beth. Not only are they wonderful people and our dear friends, but they have a pool in their backyard. Although the adults all decided 75 degrees wasn't warm enough to swim, the kids didn’t pass up the chance for one last swim for the season.

The adults lounged on the patio next to the pool while the kids splashed.

After a scrumptious dinner, we drank more wine, hid Easter eggs, then watched while the kids hunted Easter eggs. Although the water in the pool was chilly, it was still warm enough that we couldn’t hide the chocolate eggs until right before the kids were ready to hunt or the chocolate would have melted.  Hoping out of the pool to hunt Easter eggs - just seems wrong for this Illinois girl.

After the egg hunt, the grownups hunted up an exceptional vintage wine. (those wine snobs in the group - check out the tannins and settlement in this bottle - mmmm.)

A good time was had by all.
The End,
