Figs, Figs, Figs

My love affair with figs continues.

I found yet another way to enjoy the soft succulent delicious fresh figs in Maggie Beers’ Fig Galette.  It’s a homemade puff pastry, topped with fig jam and sliced fresh figs.



Baked on a pizza stone the crust was soft and light and so slightly crispy.




It was one of the pretty things that I’ve ever slid out of an oven. Topped with vanilla custard it was a delight to the senses.  It was a perfect birthday cake even if i had to bake it myself.  Our friends Beth and Bob shared it with us.
