Day 7 - June 10
by Mitchel
This morning we woke up and ate some Coco Puffs. They were good, but the problem was you couldn’t drink the milk from the bowl because the bowls were weird shaped (so they borrowed a pink flamingo swirly straw to suck down chocolate flavored milk). After breakfast we got went to the School of Air. School of the Air is a school where the teachers in Alice Springs give the kids living in remote parts of the Northern Territory classes over the internet. It was pretty cool. It is the biggest class room in the world and covers over a million square kilometers.
Next, we drove to the Tropic of Capricorn. Really there wasn’t much there besides a big sign that said Tropic of Capricorn. Then it was off to the Telegraph Station. The Telegraph Line is the reason Alice is here. The museam shows how they used to communicate back in the day, it was really interesting. We worked up an appetite so we went to eat lunch at Wicked Kneads. Mitch and I had ham sandwiches with mayo and mustard. Then we went to Desert Park.
